Odoo 20: what Fabien just presented at OX 2026

Fabien Pinckaers has just presented Odoo 20 at the Odoo Experience keynote, Brussels. The branch 20.0 was already on GitHub; and odoo 20 available for installation. Below, what we saw in the keynote, with the Contaldia filter (accounting first) and the session captures.

Accounting: dashboard, bills, assets and SEPA

The accounting dashboard now shows month-by-month detail and smart buttons. Fewer clicks to get to what is pending.

Supplier invoices: they are published using the last three as a pattern, without manually editing each line, already from previous versions. The AI proposes analytics and, if there is a fleet, assigns the expense to the vehicle. The Peppol electronic invoice brings more information than a PDF  and improves the analysis that Odoo does of the invoices (in Spain we do not use Peppol).

Assets: useful life can be changed from the bill itself. If the asset is linked, you no longer have to cancel it to edit the journal entry.

One click unifies several purchase lines into one. Useful and we can also split the accounting entry by several units, in case we want to account for several assets each in their invoice line.

Payments connected to your bank: Pay invoices, create SEPA remittances for collection and payment generated and uploaded to the bank from Odoo. We will see it in the course on October 1st with the Spanish banking circuit.

Accounting AI: a CFO report in seconds

There is an AI assistant for each area. The one for Accounting generates a commented P&L (margins, costs, “red flags”) from a prompt. It appeared in seconds during the keynote. It does not replace the closing or the 303: it is a draft for the CFO, which helps make better decisions. In Contaldia we have Aibecor, an AI created by tax advisors expert in Odoo that allows for more detail and flexibility in reports, we will present it to you soon in a webinar.

Reports in multiple currencies, with an exchange rate as of a date. And consolidation / reconciliation between companies in fewer steps than in 19. A great novelty because it was complicated to do a consolidation with different currencies.

MCP native and agents

Odoo 20 includes server MCP native. Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT connect to the ERP without a third-party connector in between. In the keynote, Fabien set up a dashboard with data by country using Claude (he said it took two hours), with the avatar of Antony, Odoo's virtual CFO: alerts to the CEO, cash, and margins. The truth is there is a lot of information in a single dashboard and very visual at all times.

The agents are a new app: they have skills, knowledge, and triggers. Examples from the keynote of what we can automate easily: we receive an email that prepares the order; another that creates an appointment; generation of product images; SEO and website snippets; accounting assistant to whom you ask about cash flow. The product AI remains Enterprise.

Reports: new pivot tables, created with AI, editable and savable. The dashboard is still a spreadsheet inside Odoo.

Rest of the ERP (what we saw, without reciting the keynote)

• Website / CRM. A website visitor becomes a lead with the page trail. Cleaner activities. CRM hooked to Gmail or Outlook.
• VoIP. PBX in Odoo: buy a number, call, transcription when you hang up.
• Sales. Header with smart buttons and filters. Quotation templates by section. Product photos on the PDF.
• Projects. You upload a PDF or an email and AI builds the project with tasks.
• Timesheets. On-screen editable grid; faster services and materials, with widget and AI.
• Purchase / stock. More automatic min-max and replenishment.
• Manufacturing. New bill of materials, order kanban and more barcode.
• HR. AI for vacancies. The offer can fill in salary according to payroll from Brussels: not adapted to the legislation of Spain.
• Restaurant PoS. Floor plan, allergies, table check-in, detected offers, QR ordering kiosk-style.

Price: Custom at €35.90 and Light user at €7.90

On the pricing slide (yearly): One App Free and Standard do not change (€0 and €19.90). Custom drops to €35.90 / user / month (44.90 struck through; Odoo presents it as 20% below inflation). New Light user at €7.90 / user / month. Keynote figures, not a Contaldia offer.

How we will look at it

Contaldia has been on Odoo since 2009. On 1 October, at 16:00, the online updates course: what of this touches the closing, the 303 and the bank in Spain, and what is worth waiting for before upgrading a production database.
