The branch 20.0 is now public on GitHub. The Community code can be cloned. The official launch, including a keynote, is next week: Odoo Experience, Brussels, September 24–26. It is not “Odoo 20 in production in Spain.” It is open source and, in parallel, Odoo Online has been running the latest pre-release for weeks (19.4).
In partner blogs, the figure of “about 49 AI features” is circulating. It does not appear in the official Odoo notes. What is indeed written, by name, is another matter: a whole block of AI on the OX agenda, plus what 19.4 has already released in SaaS. Below is what can be stated today, and what is still a talk title.

What Odoo calls agentic AI: not a chat beside, but agents that read, create records, and connect to external tools.
What is already there (19.4, Odoo Online)
The official notes of Odoo 19.4 do not wait for OX. Odoo summary: AI agents that connect to external tools, a smarter site builder, and changes in sales/eCommerce. In day-to-day operations, the following have also been released, among others:
- Multiple identifiers in the contact (DUNS and equivalents by country).
- Improvements in activities, CC in the chatter, and bulk downloads of attachments.
- The website builder that 19.4 presents as “smarter” — the same thread that OX develops as a new web experience in 20.
If your base is in Odoo Online, part of this may already be there. If you are on 19.0 on-premise, no: that comes with 20 or a major update.
What the OX agenda announces (it is not yet a product note)
Odoo has not yet published the release notes for 20. What exists are session titles from Odoo Experience 2026 and the roadmap that came out on Partner Days (April 2). With that caution, the AI and accounting block looks like this:
Agent AI
Agents that are not limited to drafting: they audit, create records, and act on processes. Title from OX, not our public demo yet.
Native MCP server
Model Context Protocol: connect Claude, Gemini, or another client to the ERP without a third-party connector in between. It appears in the Partner Days roadmap and in OX titles.
Ask AI
Natural language search on the base: tickets, stock movements, entries. Roadmap, not release notes.
Accounting on autopilot
The title from OX is explicit: “accounting on autopilot”. Accounting assistant with AI. We will break it down on October 1.
Banks, e-invoice, and payments
Bank sync, electronic invoicing, and payment initiation (and EBICS) appear as dedicated sessions of Accounting in OX. We do not claim SEPA “with one click” until we see it.
Rest of the ERP
What’s new by module: Quality / maintenance / outsourcing, POS, marketing, payroll, Sign, Phone. Agenda, not a closed list of 49 items.

How we are going to look at it
