🗓️ Public Holiday Calendar 2026

Published in the BOE on October 28, 2025

From Contaldia Asesoramiento Online, specialists in labor, tax and accounting advice for Odoo companies, we inform you that the Resolution of October 17, 2025, from the General Directorate of Labor, which establishes the official calendar of working holidays for the year 2026, has been published in the BOE (Official State Gazette).

🔹 Non-Substitutable National Holidays (mandatory throughout Spain)

  • January 1 (Thursday): New Year's Day
  • April 3: Good Friday
  • May 1 (Friday): Labor Day
  • August 15 (Saturday): Assumption of the Virgin
  • October 12 (Monday): National Day of Spain
  • December 8 (Tuesday): Immaculate Conception
  • December 25 (Friday): Christmas

👉 In addition, January 6 (Tuesday) – Three Kings Day will be a public holiday in all Autonomous Communities.

Each municipality will add two local holidays, thus completing the 14 annual public holidays.


🏢 Preparation of the Company Work Calendar

We remind you that, according to article 34.6 of the Workers' Statute, every company must prepare its annual work calendar, which includes:

  • The working day established in the applicable agreement.
  • Minimum daily and weekly rest periods.
  • The distribution of working days and holidays.

This calendar should be displayed in a visible location in each workplace.
